Whoops. No, the long grain rice wasn't in a roll. It was just as a side. It would definitely be weird in any type of sushi.

Even though this article deals with Stannis, I agree with you. The very fact that the show runners got permission from GRRM to do the show was because they supposedly knew who Jon's parents are makes it a big deal. If they just kill him off, it doesn't make much sense.
i don't know about him being GRRM's favorite, though. I think he has the softest spot in his heart for Tyrion.

Yeah, I didn't try making my own rolls until I moved to Japan and saw such beautiful looking fish in all the local stores, and an abundance of seaweed wraps. I try to make too thick of rolls sometimes, though. Even so, the rolling is not the issue, it's the rice. I went to an American restaurant in the area recently, and they had long grain rice. Apparently, I've become a short-grain rice snob. I didn't even know this was a thing.

I kind of thought I was a little crazy. I knew there weren't too many posts here yet, but I thought I remembered seeing more. I saw the "Tribe Chief" open but I still don't know what that means, so I didn't take it.
And, just out of curiosity, have you ever been a member of the Freefolk on any other site? I'm not trying to be demeaning, and you have may have changed your name, but I don't recognize you. If you are new, that's awesome; I always enjoy when people abandon their lord(s) to join the freefolk. If you're not new, thanks for preserving our community. I hate fucking spoiler tags and stupid rules about what may or may not be appropriate based on the whims of some bitch ass moderator.
Anyway, I look forward to this community, whatever it may bring.

Unfortunately, I couldn't tell you exactly where in the park I took these, since it was a while ago, and the park is so big. They were taken along the only road that goes through the park, which you either have to take a bus tour/ride or schedule a long hike in advance with approval from the park, but the park itself is full of these types of views.
As far as the best time to go, it depends on what you want to see, and what type of weather you can deal with. The park, I believe, is open from mid-May to mid-September. The first three pictures were taken in late July of 2012, and the last two were mid-September of 2014. Early in the season, much of the park will still be snow-covered. Late in the season, everything starts to turn brown. On my second trip, I kind of wished I had been there two to three weeks earlier. The types of plants that are brown in those pictures are typically yellow and red in the late August/early September time frame in Alaska. That's not the only factor, though. The wildlife was much more active on my first trip, as all the animals are getting ready for the winter in September. There are also times of year when the mountain (Denali/Mt. McKinley) is typically more visible. Both times I went, it was partially/mostly visible near the entrance of the park, but got clouded over at the viewpoints that are farther into the drive.
