I thought that if I blocked 3rd party cookies and used "no tracking" mode or incognito mode, that websites couldn't track me. I was wrong! This article by the DuckDuckGo engine demonstrates how easy it is to be tracked using browser fingerprinting. In the article are a couple of links that let you test it out interactively, which is definitely worth a try if you want a demo.

Actually,it was amusing and actually had someone talking and achievements. It' did want to activate my web cam and i said "no."
Scary stuff to hear about the webcam - my machine has no webcam so I didn't get asked about that (that was interesting to hear, BTW!). But yes, it had the person talking about what I was doing. A little creepy!
