WHEREVER automotive engineers gather, some wag will sooner or later announce that hydrogen is the fuel of the future—and always will be. The hydrogen-powered car has been just around the corner for decades. However, judging from announcements by Honda, Hyundai and Toyota at last week’s motor shows in Los Angeles and Tokyo, hydrogen cars will be hitting the showrooms from spring 2014 onwards. I hope they will find a solution to the second hurdle of fuel cells.
Although i love driving my prius, i know the carbon print it leaves.
Would love to drive a fuel cell / hydrogen powered car with 300-450 mile range and under 10 minute refills.... that also costs under $35k.
Toyota is suppose to come out with a fuel cell by 2015.... this is the concept
That concept actually looks very nice. I'd sport that.
EV's are the future of cars. Electrical engines are very efficient, and the battery tech is only getting better and faster to recharge. The ability to recharge at your house vs going to a station for hydrogen/gas/etc is what will push it to be the norm.
Electric cars still have a lot of improvements ahead of them, that's where Id place my bet too.
