I'm not surprised that a conservative christian is against gay marriage. She won't be in power forever though.
And against public opinion on the matter on top of that.
I'm not surprised. I'm still wondering why she is so popular. Then again the last socialdemocrat in power was way too slick.
I think she's popular because she prosmises nothing. I know that's weird but by being super vague about everything, every (conservative) can project their wishes/hopes onto her. People are afraid that things will get worse (no shit, Sherlock) and with her they hope they will it least stay the same. Her vagueness promises stability.
