I remember, a long time ago in school, I was given one of those standardized persuasive writing prompts, where you're presented with articles and must choose one of two stances presented to defend. It was about whether children and video games, and whether they should be allowed to play them very often and all that. The articles all had a blatant anti-video game sentiment, even the ones that were supposedly in defense of them. I remember being so upset, because in order to best utilize the "evidence" and pass the exam, I had to write this paper against video games. There's definitely a stigma around them. I'm not entirely sure why some people have just decided to hate them, but it can be really annoying. This video was awesome : )
Thanks!
Yeah, I wonder if sentiments have changed over the years. Especially considering the explosive growth of casual games over the past few years.
