I had never even heard about any attempts to blame ADHD on Video Games. The concept really doesn't make sense to me, since video games typically require focus, which people with ADHD would struggle with.
That being said, I can see why video games would be more appealing to ADHD sufferers over other media simply because it allows you to be physically doing something while you are also watching the screen. I have focus/attention problems as well, and it's really hard for me to sit through a movie or TV show or really anything without doing something with my hands, whether it be drawing in class, or fiddling with my phone while waiting even if I'm not actually doing anything on it. Video games or browsing the internet are my favorite pass times because they allow me to be engaged with someone else's work while still doing something myself.
