Obesity Linked To Ten Most Common Cancers
Overweight and obese people are at greater risk of developing the 10 most common cancers, according to a major study. The research suggests BMI was "positively associated" with cancers, including uterus, cervix, thyroid, kidney, liver and colon. The findings, published in the Lancet medical journal, also suggest post-menopausal breast cancer and leukaemia were a heightened risk.
