Study: The Pill has prevented 400,000 endometrial cancers in past 50 years
A new study finds that birth control pills have prevented 400,000 cases of endometrial cancer, which develops in the lining of the uterus, over the past 50 years. About half of those cancers were prevented in the last 10 years, according to the study, published Tuesday in The Lancet.
