Ha, this is great. Is there any way to also get this published into /t/horror?

Sorry if it's a dumb question, this is the first time I ever requested a cross-post.

Resemblance between actors is not evidence, neither is having a fat clown toy in the basement. And they seem to have forgotten that Kevin was a child of above average intelligence, not a genius who would have full understanding of what he was doing.

Well, it is titled "A Deadly Serious Investigation", about a fictional topic, so I would assume first that it was joke. That's the fun thing about fan theories. They're not true, not unless the directors of Home Alone and Saw both said it was the truth, but it's still fun to entertain. Certainly, the complex nature of the tools both characters craft invites some comparison.

I liked the comparison between the broken ornaments by the window and the broken glass, but the comparison between a random clown thing and the doll he carved for his unborn child was too much of a stretch for me.

I usually like ridiculous theories (my favourite is one that say Avatar Korra should be with Prince Wu because he wears a scarf, and so did her last (and only) boyfriend, so clearly she only likes guys with scarves), but not when they're presented seriously. Or when the person claims to have worked on the theory for years and scrutinised every frame of the movie. Then it's too much.
