While we are on the subject of universal healthcare...

Canada's healthcare system with the long waits and generally crowded hospitals (don't break your leg on a friday night people!) isn't perfect, and we do tend to see the cracks in the system. BUT I wholeheartedly enjoy the fact that I can be broke and homeless and if I hurt myself there will someone on the other side of that counter that will help me get fixed up and on my way. The only problem is, it is indeed taxing on the system, and if the US and Mexico want a decent universal healthcare system, they are going to have to put their money where their mouth is.

I'd say that we should have universal healthcare, but keep insurance for those who want it.
