BlackBerry officially announces plans to launch the Android-powered Priv
As part of their Q2 Fiscal 2016 results, BlackBerry also took the time today make their plans to launch the BlackBerry Priv, which will run Android with BlackBerry security, official. Although the information lacks specifics surrounding the actual launch of the device, the confirmation of its existence was needed given all the leaks recently.

Love my Blackberry Z30 but, BBOS is the reason why I left Android and made the move. It's a really nice phone OS with tons of features that Android is way behind on.
That being said, I know that BB has employees to feed and have to keep the lights on. By releasing a (hopefully popular) Android phone, they will keep themselves in the game for a while to come.
