Bullshit. They are not racists. They are normal human beings being overwhelmed with the unknown. Some program is trying to label them as evil.

If your primary objection to a person without getting to know them is your perception of their racial heritage or affiliation then "racist" might not be the word you're looking for but "bigot" definitely is.

Don't forget xenophobe. You would never want the opportunity to label things to pass you by.

Wait, I sense there may be a flaw in this reasoning. If, say, the Valley People somewhere fear and loathe the Hill People for concrete reasons based on profound cultural and moral differences between the two peoples, then couldn't the Valley People's objection be something other than bigotry? Enmity, for instance? Alienation? Rejection? Mind you, even if there is some coarse, easily overspun, skin-deep physiological difference there as well?

If the reasons the Valley People cite are truly endemic to all Hill People then the case can be made. But since we have far more examples of Hill People living peacefully with Valley People than not, I'm sticking with bigotry.

You know they steal and eat housecats, right? That and they serve eggs in bizarre, unspeakably offensive ways. By which I mean with salt. Plus, they have eyes on their hands they make sure never to let you see.
