    Sure, torture works! I don't think this was ever in doubt.

      I suppose. I mean, Cheney got what he wanted out of it. You can make people say whatever you want. Whether it 'works' or not isn't the point. The point is what using torture makes you. That, more than false intelligence, the pretext for war and impunity for his sadism, is what Cheney was after. Comes a day when you've got to decide whether you'd rather be respected or feared. Same goes for this gangster clown in the presidency today. He knows what he is, and it's not a hero.

        Well, nothing new or original. The Nazis already tried torture, and it did "work", if by working we mean that you got somebody to say anything to stop being tortured. It seems that more than 70 years after WWII, we haven't learnt anything. I wonder what other countries that value human rights have to say about it.
