Seems to be correlation / causation, people go schizo in their mid 20's, and just so happen to go off the rails while smoking ridiculous amounts of 'dro and tripping balls on lsd. They thought for years the drugs were causing it, but there doesn't seem to be any solid evidence for that assumption.
They have recently come out saying marijuana doesn't cause schizophrenia.
