Snapzu is essentially the same format as reddit except it has unnecessary pictures everywhere and is bulky to navigate. This is what I based the analogy on, though of course I am sure there are enough differences to not technically be a direct copy. This is not a 'bitch about snapzu' thread--- I was just thinking today about why I don't spend more time browsing snapzu like I do reddit, and this is what I came up with-- browsing snapzu is literally not enjoyable. I would love to help make it better, but unfortunately the best advice I could give would be along the lines of 'make it more text-based for easier scrolling and link identification', and that would just make it even more similar so I dunno. What do you like specifically about snapzu, and did you come here from reddit or discover it randomly?
I like how this place is peaceful (albeit much smaller) without all the trolling or spamming going on. Or the fact that I can do more than just post a link or text or comment, create interactive posts like this or this (although it doesn't happen as much as I'd like to). I can see the images on the front page can be a bit overwhelming on older or slower pcs, but I personally have gotten used to it and prefer it over the list style. I guess to each their own.

I'm sure you have your reasons and I'm not here to argue them... but the big one that jumps out at me is that reddit has a lot more active users creating content... At one point, reddit to digg was like snapzu is to reddit now (even though its a silly comparison)... Nobody knows how its going to play out, what sites will be successful and what sites will fail, but I for one enjoy the fact that there is still people constantly working on creating new alternatives that may provide something different.
FWIW, while Snapzu has nothing like Reddit's volume, I just like that it's generally a much more civil crew. I also prefer Snapzu's look and feel more than Reddit's barebones look.
It is bulky, I like the pictures at the top. I just wish it were as simple to navigate as either reddit or listverse. I would love having a list of my tribes at the top so I could just click and go. I haven't tried to make a new link yet, but I'm hoping it's fairly simple. On the other hand, I like the lack of spam, and the serious discussions had on the issues.

Dont forget the fact that reddit's front page is like 90% imgur links. Cant stand that shit.
Do you know about the list tab on the front page?
For convenience sake I'm leaving a link to it here... List View
