Just wanted to quickly say sorry if I offended you. I share your concern that many drugs are overprescribed and that pharmaceutical industry has influence over trials etc. We all should be informed, and it's okay to decide not to take a drug or a treatment. What gets me is that often many newspapers and magazines makes sensationalist stories that are only loosely based in science and this often confuses and scares people. And I do not want these kind of articles to proliferate and further confuse and scare all of us.
I hope you both find healthcare professionals that you trust and make decisions that only benefit your health with or without statins ;)
Well I told my Dr. flat out I was not taking them again. No way am I taking something that can cause diabetes, among other things.
The latest news on these drugs is definitely not encouraging.
