That's a great list! It actually sounds like a project list from NASA. ;) Hopefully, we go ahead and start working on the colonies and the robots while others work on that FTL research. We have the knowledge, technology, and capability to make these a reality in a very short time. I think we need to focus on improving our robotics & ROV capabilities, the exploration of our solar system will be incredibly easier to explore.

I also think we need to increase the research into gravity. Is it a force? A not yet discovered particle? A reaction to the curvature of space-time itself? On top of all that, the possibility of manipulating gravity could have many great applications, possible the FTL engines.
