Assuming Germany can actually get it done. The new Berlin Airport and the Stuttgart 21 railway project don't inspire much confidence in Germany's ability to do large scale transportation projects.
Sure, just add 3 years to projected date of opening (if they don't need new trains, if they do, add 2 more years) and double the cost of the German part of the project.
All this assuming there is no tunnel or other section that needs to follow proper fire security regulations on the German side, if there is such a section add 7 years and whatever money that needs to be spent on maintaining the finished but unused tunnel working.
I know when we visited we took a ferry from Denmark to Germany. It's nice to see this tunnel being built.

As I read it from my related link, all Germany have to do for the project is upgrade the rail branch line on their side. Surely they can manage that?
