Scientists Confirm These Really Are the Bones of Richard III
Genetic evidence from his skeletal remains proves Richard III is the oldest known individual ever identified through DNA. Two years ago, a battle-worn, scoliosis-riddled skeleton was unearthed beneath a parking lot in Leicester, England. Based on the evidence at hand, the archeologists behind the discovery claimed that they had found the bones of Richard III—the 15th century monarch with the cartoonishly villainous reputation.
