Or possibly only allow the downvote button inside the discussion page. For example, some people may downvote this without reading that I offered the suggestion of only hiding the downvote button.
One or the other would be to prevent voting on title alone. It would require additional understanding of the post or news article before voting.
I know I'm new here, but this is something I've thought about for a while that would be nice on reddit to make the community more involved instead of blind up and down votes. And this place seems concerned about low quality voting so I think it might be nice.
