My name is Zachary, but I go by Bazill. I'm not terribly sure why I've gone by that name for so long. I've always thought it sounded nice and it's almost always untaken so I'm rarely required to use numbers or alt codes to get the name I like. This blog is about my journey through life. Mainly the things I learn in life. Currently I'm a network security major who does a majority of studying independently through various projects. I am a novice so most of my projects are more layman than I'd like them to be. My first post will be on building an Arch Linux disto from scratch. I'm an intermediate linux user and I'm hoping this sort of undertaking will ascend me closer to the "Linux God" title. 
 I do have interests outside of networking and computers in general however. I'm a devoted guitar player and am going for my Technician license on the 29th. Soon I'll be on the air and I'll be allowed to begin some radio experiments to take up even more of my time. I'm also an avid reader. I recently finished up "The Name of the Wind", one of the best recent fantasy books to be published. Because of this I may sprinkle in book reviews from time to time in order to express in words how I feel after I close the back cover. This in some ways may give me a better insight into my own feelings regarding the book. 
 I've never committed to something of this nature before. I've never had a blog and I rarely post to Facebook or other online communities. This entire process feels very eerie to me in a way I can't explain, even to myself. Even though I feel strange I am excited for my next post.
