    Christie was a contender about a decade ago during the last election cycle. Time magazine did an expose on him and everything. Never really like him and this certainly not enamoring me to him now. How can you preach states rights and then threaten states who aren't doing exactly what you want them to do?

    I can't see him getting too far with this rhetoric.

      When he took the helicopter to see his kid's baseball game it was over for me.

    I'm glad he thinks that many people share his stance on everything. Just keeps on slipping in the polls...

      He's trying to sound less moderate. Cons still disapprove of legalization at about 70%, so there's no reason for a Republican candidate to approve of it if he wants support from his base. Christie is the moderate Republican, which is crazy, but he has to compete with the hardliners like Huckabee and Santorum for support from the ultra-conservative base. This is what happened last time around. The Republicans spend so much time appealing to their base that they alienate the actual moderates and independents.
