When I was growing up nuclear fusion power was always just ten years away. Now it's fifteen. It's getting further away. Fusion power, the power in the future.
Yeah, net positive energy, even when they get there, is a very long way from commercial power.
Figuring out how to prevent long-term neutron induced fatigue from killing your reactor is going to be big hurdle to get over.
Maybe about 20 years, in 15 years.
In 20 years, fusion will be only 20 years away.
Sure, but it will be 20 years closer.
Totally seems that way, I'll be 200 years old by the time it finally arrives.
