The War on Science
A look into the clash between politics and science. Science is often put aside for ideological and political reasons. This is terrible considering the incredible benefits of scientific research, just in terms of data collection!! As Canadians, it's something to keep in mind when we go vote on election day.

Our science libraries dedicated to health, environment, fisheries and oceans are being shut down, laws that were once in place to ensure the protection of endangered species have been gutted, with 80% of Canada’s 71 fresh water fish species currently at risk of extinction. And not only has Prime Minister Stephen Harper eliminated the national science advisor role, but some 2,5000 federal scientists have lost their jobs.”
