Me too! I really hope it turns into a legit sport I would watch every event.

Perhaps, with FIFA's recent troubles, this is the perfect opportunity for this to rise as the new international sport... one can only dream. Like an international version of the show gladiators, but with Gundam style robots.

Now that's an idea! And started from the fanboyish countries of USA and Japan? I don't think you'll have to wait too long for this to become a thing!

I think we're going to be disappointed by the first few fights (if there's more than one). In my head I'm ready to see some Gundam Wing in real life! but in reality we'll see some slow, first to fall over is donefore mech fights. When bipedal motion is better developed I think we'll see some crazy stuff but I imagine that's years away.

I want to believe its going to be battle bots on a massive (size wise) scale, but I doubt it will be anything close.

Hopefully they keep doing fights. Eventually we'll see this But in a larger scale.

Yeah you're probably right, but still one step closer.

Yes I agree that the first might end up like that. But if they can get support behind it in the form of a sport with a big fan base, imagine how the increased funding will affect the development of the technology. Innovation is always spurred on faster when there is competition and money involved.

IF THEY FIGHT, I WILL WATCH!! I WILL VOTE WITH MY WALLET!
