We did mushroom collecting once in a group of biologists who knew what they were doing..They were tasty and we lived to tell the tale.
Stick to the ones you know, build your understanding over time and always double check each one at home. Been doing this 25 years and have yet to poison myself or anyone else. I guess having a good shroom teacher was a big plus too :D
