I tried it this summer and while it was still tasty, it wasn't as awesome as it looked. I think if I had icing and just called it a cake, it would have been better.
I've used this to make both pancakes and intentional sweet cakes. Bananna, I think. It works really well, either way, with a drizzle of syrup or simple sugar icing.
