    I sympathize with a lot of this, but she lost my respect here:

    So holding an unfavorable view of Islam makes you part of the country's moral scourge? Does this mean that I have to believe or respect the fairy tales of desert nomads from 15 centuries ago or else I'm immoral?

    Sorry, but being an atheist doesn't make you immoral. This is the same sort of generalization that the article is supposed to criticize. Look in the mirror, Sarah.
