    No, but communism ensures that everyone suffers equally from them.

      If that were so, and not even you think for a split second that it is, that would be huge. Arguably, you've credited socialism with achieving its ultimate aim. Sadly, it ain't so.

      Me, I think you've gotten so stuck up brawling with a tar baby with a "Socialism" sign around its neck, you've clean forgotten about Bre'r Fox altogether.

        I know very well what socialism is and what it does. It destroyed my country and my family.

        However, I have to admit that it’s true that misery is not fully equally distributed. The people in power are by definition immune to the “equality”.

          Stupid, greedy people in power did that. You can blame socialism, you can blame popular sovereignty — Hell, you can blame the desperately poor if you like. Ginning up a scapegoat worked for Chavez. Maybe if you really put your back into it you could blame poverty itself, endemic bigotry, and the dire instability of Venezuela's tiny former land-holding plutocracy, but you might have to put on your glasses. Whereas you can make out the rough shape of humanity and curse it as socialism without bothering to even look up. That's cool. I'm not judgy. I have a similar hangup about slavery, genocide, colonialism and capitalism. Only, at heart, I know it's people not their -isms.

          @AdelleChattre -

          Ok, so your point is, socialism doesn’t kill people just like guns don’t kill people. Evil, greedy people kill people using socialism.

          Sound good. Doesn’t solve any problem though.
