I do think that climate change, sadly, will ultimately become a generational conflict because many of the ppl in charge of countries are of a generation that tends to dispute the reality of climate change.
We can hope for more younger people in government, but sadly that is not the case right now. I also think it may be perhaps harder for older people to think long term than younger people. Those who expect they may have 50 or more years ahead of them might be more likely to make decisions for the longer-term situation instead of short-term financial gains at the expense of an environmental disaster.
I'm not saying all older people think like that, just that many of the people in government appear to do so.
