Yahoo is locking down Mail access for some people with ad blockers
Yahoo Mail is not looking kindly on some users of ad-blocking software. A thread on the forums for the service Adblock Plus, first spotted by Digiday, suggested some Yahoo Mail users were being prevented from accessing their email unless they disabled their ad blockers, and a Yahoo spokesperson confirmed to The Verge that the message is indeed part of a "test" for some users.

They will just never get it I’ve been advertised to all my life and I'm quite sick of it...I mainly use Yahoo's service for notices from Amazon,etc. If they do this to me,I'll just use Gmail all the time and close my Yahoo account. I really don't think they understand what a big blunder they are making by doing this, as they are not the only game in town.
Thanks, Yahoo, now I'm going to probably get a call from my mom in the next few days asking about why her email suddenly doesn't work. You are the bane of my generation.
