’Paid patriotism’: Pentagon gives pro sports millions to honor soldiers at games

This is really weird. I don't care much for the level of patriotism that goes on at sports games, but I'm all for it - provided that it's a genuine expression of gratitude. To think that the people, that are called heroes by many people, aren't being honored out of respect, but because the teams are being paid to do so, is just really sad. If anything, it's just extremely in-genuine and pretty disrespectful in attitude - even if you don't agree with the practice itself.
