    If this holds up how is it not the end of contract employment? Independent Contractor status is exactly what Uber is, you choose to join the service, you choose to pick up passengers, you choose when to work and when not to, this is independent contractor status.

    “They carry out their work as part of someone else’s business and for that reason they’re entitled to a number of employment rights.”

    That would be true of anywhere you agree to do jobs as an independent contractor.
