More And More Americans Aren’t Religious. Why Are Democrats Ignoring These Voters?
Democrats are once again doubling down on religion this year. Faith was on full display during the Democratic National Convention, where Joe Biden closed out the week with several pointed references to his Catholic faith. And the Biden campaign is also making an ambitious play for white evangelical Protestants and Mormons, two loyal Republican groups where Democrats hope to make some inroads.

yeah, duh
cuz non religious people a) don’t breed in great numbers and b) don’t vote
it’s the tragedy of the secular
besides “religiously unaffiliated” and “other” are not necessarily non-religious
it can be anything from mysticism through Buddhism (aka Hindu heresy) all the way to ‘praying at home’
just because they are not going to a church doesn’t mean they are secular
and besides it is religious zealots politicians seek out and try to appeal to because they are above all zealous
seculars tend to be more apathetic when it comes to legislative agenda to promote their beliefs because it is precisely the fact that their beliefs are unimportant to them which makes them nonreligious
