    I was thinking about this. Didn't he have a second amendment right to have a gun? But he was black. When the second amendment was passed into law, blacks were not citizens and didn't have any rights, so the second amendment doesn't apply to them. Of course the problems with this argument is that at the time, women were owned too and only landowners had rights. Do ex-felons have rights under the second amendment? If they don't, is that not gun control gone mad? Anyway this guy was black, drunk and an ex felon. Although the police at the time didn't know he was an ex-felon, nor how drunk he was but they knew two important things, he was black and he was running away from police. That is a capital offence. Punishable by instant summary execution. And those heroic officers. Two trained officers against one drunk black guy who was running away. With those kind of odds, they needed to shoot him dead. Not just one or two shots either, nine or ten at least. You have to make those shots quickly. It looks really bad if he's thrashing around on the road and you have to fire a couple of shots off at close range to finish the job.
