Eero thinks its tiny box can fix all your WiFi issues
While many of the devices we use every day depend on WiFi -- everything from our smartphones to our TVs -- most home WiFi networks are still woefully slow compared to their wired alternatives. Enter Eero, a small San Francisco startup that aims to bring home WiFi into the future. How? By combining the functions of a router, a range extender and a repeater into a single device, thus making the Eero a complete WiFi system for the home.

For that price, you can buy yourself 3-4 mikrotiks that will blow the doors off of anything consumer grade offers.
Bought myself one. 5 gigE, 5 10/100, wireless so strong you'll get a suntan if you stand too close to it. VLANS, BGP, it can route, mangle, firewall, encase, and cluster. Built like a brick shithouse and can be used to incapacitate strangers who invade your house. Probably the best bit of networking kit I've purchased in the past 2-3 years.
I'd love to test this out, but $399-$499 for a set of three is a bit too pricey for my blood.
