Theres always going to be unexpected congestion which breaks this.
Automated cars are the answer. Once a car can communicate with every other car at the same time, planning its exact route from miles away, then we will have the ultimate solution.
Our current infastructure will be able to handle 2-3x the amount of cars no problem
Every car will have to be automated and that wont be happening anytime soon.
