He has a point. Calling it "free-to-play" is really scummy when literally everything is behind a paywall. Especially when you have kids with their parents credit cards on their phone accounts, which is a big part of these games monetization strategies.

I miss the days when I could buy a game for $50, play all the content to my hearts content, and maybe buy 1-2 expacs and be done. I hope the gaming industry gets back on track at some point and stops abusing their customers to fleece them for more cash.

I find the content here though, especially the discussion threads, tends to have more depth and original thought than reddit's threads. A lot less parroting of popular community thought here. There are actually individuals interested in providing unique perspectives on snapzu.

They did a really good job of making sure they were encouraging good posts too with the reputation system.

All in all, it fixes a lot of the problems I had with reddit (troliing, community in general, poor design, etc).

It still isn't too crowded IMO. If we kept the community around this size I'd be really happy. I can go through and read most of the posts on the site in an hour or two, then go off and contribute on my own. Perfect size for me to be honest, though I know it'll probably get bigger with time

If someone disagrees with me, I usually get a long, well thought out response that is written in a very level headed manner. It is unlike any internet community I have seen.

I mean I had a reasonable gun control discussion and a educational Obamacare discussion the other day on here. You can't even have those in real life!

I used to know a guy who thought I was his arch nemesis.

I got too drunk and puked in his room one of the first days. My response from that point on throughout the rest of my years there was just to be ridiculously nice/normal to him and act like nothing happened. It made him so uncomfortable every single time.

This is a great idea in my opinion! If the level system is here and functioning, why not use it to help shape the community in a positive way?

So far, I've been loving windows 10. It is a beautiful, fast OS that has been kicking ass at everything I ask it to do on a 4+ year old computer.

Really hope this OS release works out for them.

If you're not upgraded yet and want to give it a try, I definitely recommend doing so. You can install an ISO and upgrade straight to the final release when it comes out! I especially recommend it if you're on 8. It is worlds better.
