Scientists have reversed some signs of aging in a study on mice
Scientists have come one step closer to creating a drug that can reverse signs of aging, including hair loss, in a study on mice. Researchers at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine used an experimental compound—called D-threo-1-phenyl-2-decanoylamino-3-morpholino-1-propanol (D-PDMP)—to undo damage in mice linked to a diet high in fat and cholesterol. The paper published in the journal Scientific Reports is based on a previous study that suggested fatty foods affect the production of fats called glycosphingolipids (GLS), which make up the skin and other cell membranes.
