Major publisher retracts 64 scientific papers in fake peer review outbreak
Made-up identities assigned to fake e-mail addresses. Real identities stolen for fraudulent reviews. Study authors who write glowing reviews of their own research, then pass them off as an independent report. These are the tactics of peer review manipulators, an apparently growing problem in the world of academic publishing.

Somehow, I know in my heart that one of the university faculty members I used to work with whom was also my instructor at one point has or is pulling this shit, even though I have no proof whatsoever. She was just too manipulative, narcissistic, and had wayyyyy too many publications given how bad she was at teaching the material. It was obvious that she didn't know what she was talking about a good portion of the time and enjoyed playing office politics. She is one of the most fluffed up and incompetent people I have seen in high ranking academia positions.
