What's scary about it is that no method to stop them is 100% effective. School shooters are essentially "lone wolf" attacks, and we can't usually stop them before they start shooting. Usually they even tell people, which I'm not sure a lone wolf jihadi would do, and even then, 9 out of 10 times, the shooting goes off.
