Hmmm, don't necessarily agree with Stan's assertion that one of those 7 skills a content marketer should have is "coding" ... Nice to be able to write some code but how many good writers are even interested in learning such a techie skill?

For those who ever listening to the blues master B.B.King, the thrill won't ever be gone. Always loved that he named his beloved guitar "Lucille."

Steinberg covers 4 points we don't usually see given enough attention when it comes to securing information:
(1)after being breached
(2) mitigating the rissks of "human issues"
(3) reducing egress points inherent in widespread mobile device use (byod)
(4) defending against DDoS attacks
Actually, there is much more talk about DDoS these days but its more at the enterprise level; smaller organizations aren't taking this serious enough yet.

Thanks /u/Gozzin, /u/BlueOracle, /u/jcscher, and /u/GrowMap! Still learning my way around. Today discovered the bookmarklet feature and that it will save a draft to be worked on, fleshed out later. Nifty!

I think I'm a bit enamored with the platform! I dropped in here to ask a question of "the knowledgeables" so I can become comfortable with the "dos" and don't" before I get in too deep. THEN I can answer your question. :)

I love maps. On different occasions I've "traced" across the map from somewhere in the U.S. to see what the "sister" country is. Never seen a map like this done so really neat!

Always cool to meet another real Linux user. On one pc I dual boot 7 and Mint. I keep Win7 because I don't like trying to run Win programs in Wine. Yep, I use Bluefish on both Windows and Linux (but I prefer to use Notepad ++ on Windows).

Now this is one I use every day! Have it open right now. Can't recommend it enough (not just for programming, I'm not a programmer); I use it for writing my blog articles in plain text and formatting html.

I thought I'd looked at Sublime previously but didn't remember a Linux version (I'm a Linux user so always want the cool software to work on my cool platform!). Thanks for the article; checking it out again. (Too bad it isn't free, eh?)

Maybe the person calling it new just "discovered" it? Never heard of the technique but if it works, "new" becomes "tried and true."

Hey @amabaie, this photo is another one of those "vintage" ones, even though it marries modern tech (YouTube).
Aside from that, thanks for sharing the article about Indie Authors. With all the debate around "to read or not to read," it's a wonder indie authors aren't discouraged from even penning something new!
