    Opening a book in six different ways seems a little.... excessive. Almost like it was a challenge to the maker to see just how many times he/she could do it. Totally an engineer design.

      I think you've hit the nail right on the head. Doing something the same way over and over again would surely get tedious, so being able to explore the limits of the craft would be exciting and new. I know I like to do the same thing when I can with my various hobbies.
