How much are those Twitter followers really worth? A 14-year-old girl from the Netherlands was arrested on Monday after tweeting a terror threat to American Airlines — and marveling at the Twitter followers that she attracted because of it.

    Exactly. It used to be that all the dumb shit would end up in local newspapers and you would only possibly read about .05% of it. Now with the internet, every single idiot makes it because most of the filters are gone. The world is not getting dumber, its just getting rid of all the filters that used to stop most of the dumb shit making its way to people.
