Well....that's absolutely disgusting. I haven't followed this story too closely. What was the rationale to choose Rio de Janeiro to host the Olympics? It seems like reasonably clean water to perform in, is just as important as having a tracks without potholes.
Totally agreed! After seeing similar stories pop up since the hosting announcement, I thought surely cleanup efforts would be put into overdrive. With São Paulo going through such serious drought issues, maybe priorities are just shifted?
