For most of us that have kept fish for any length of time, we could probably have easily told you that yes fish have personalities. If you keep cichlids each one will have a different personality, some hide, some play, some will nip at you, they will follow you and know who you are in when you come in a room. My parents always knew which person was in front of the tank, if my dad showed up they went to the top for food, my mom they would just follow and for us kids they hid, I assume because of the tapping on the glass stuff.
