'Hyrule Warriors Legends' adds playable Skull Kid, boss character Phantom Ganon
Skull Kid, who first appeared in 'The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time', will be playable in 'Hyrule Warriors Legends' for 3DS, the latest issue of Famitsu reveals. Given that all characters from 'Hyrule Warriors Legends' for 3DS will be playable in 'Hyrule Warriors' for Wii U if you own both copies of the game, Skull Kid should be coming to the Wii U release, as well. Additionally, Famitsu also reveals that Phantom Ganon will appear as a boss character.

“Super Mario Maker” is an engine for circulating horrible new “Mario” levels
"Super Mario Maker” is a bad comedy. Released in coordination with the 30-year anniversary of “Super Mario Bros.,” it indulges players in the fantasy that they’d be good at making video game levels. This sort of self-deception has become common in the age of digital consumption, and while there’s something utopian in “Super Mario Maker’s” appeals to community participation and sharing, the game quickly collapses into a scratch sheet of...

Zelda: Breath of the Wild PC emulator effort gets $23k a month in funding
Zelda: Breath of the Wild is one of the best reviewed games of all time, heck it is one of the best games of all time. But the only way to play it is if you got a Switch or a Wii U. Which is why there’s a team of fans working on bringing the game to the PC via an emulator. And because of the size of Breath of the Wild, it’s quite an undertaking. However, the team at CEMU, who are working on the emulator, have been getting lots of support from fans. Not just nice messages from fans, but actual monetary support.

The Fall Part 2: Unbound is Confirmed for Nintendo Switch But Isn't Coming to Wii U
The Fall was an intriguing title on Wii U, overcoming some flaws thanks to its creativity and spin on sci-fi storytelling tropes. It was good news, then, when developer Over The Moon confirmed that the sequel – The Fall Part 2: Unbound – would still come to Wii U in 2017. Unfortunately that version is no longer on the way, with the title now coming to the Nintendo Switch and other platforms with a Q3 release window. There’s also a new story trailer that also provides a good look at the game.
