Ubisoft Support says that "“if players didn’t buy loot boxes/crates, they would not be added into games".
Trials Rising is the next game in Ubisoft's popular bike-riding series, and as it turns out, it's going to feature cosmetic loot boxes. Fans have not taken the news well, with many of them bringing hell and brimstone to the game's Steam Discussions thread. In one such thread, Ubisoft Support staff has decided to chime in with what they presumably thought would help ease the spirits, only for it to explode right in their face.

Between newer Heroes reducing the viability of the original cast and certain Heroes having far more options than others, it’s an ongoing discussion. With the release of Marching Fire, this has only increased. The community has noticed the gap between older Heroes and the new expansion Heroes. In addition, older Heroes such as Lawbringer and Warlord are drawing Ubisoft ire for not receiving reworks.

Far Cry 5 Update Version 1.05 Patch Notes Detailed
Ubisoft has shared the first official details for the upcoming major update for Far Cry 5. The update is set to go live tomorrow during the schedule maintenance period for the servers. Ubisoft founders Guillemot, buy 2 million shares to counter Vivendi
As Bloomberg wrote earlier, the European titan Vivendi is planning to “Target Hostile Bid for Ubisoft” by the end of this year. As a counter measure, Guillemot has acquired a bit over 2 million shares for an undisclosed price. The purchased shares represent 1.75% of the company’s share capital. The current market price per share is close to 60 euros so this transaction is estimated to be worth somewhere around 120 million euros.

Vivendi takeover of Ubisoft will happen this year – report
Vivendi, the French conglomerate that’s been acquiring more and more of Ubisoft’s shares over the past couple of years, will finally move on to completely takeover the French publisher. Vivendi, which currently owns just over 25% of Ubisoft’s shares, is accelerating the acquisition, according to a Reuters report. The “second phase”, which also involves advertising group Havas, is said to begin this year. “Vivendi is moving to the second phase, everything will take place this year,” one source told Reuters.
