Gohma in Ocarina of Time, that was the first boss in the game and it was an oh shit moment, times have changed... this is how Zelda should be.
Those great moments of "How the hell am I supposed to do this" and then that AHA! moment of discovery.
I like games like that, I like a tutorial, but games today just go overboard with telling you how to do things, that was a really cool thing about OoT in that you got the basics but no handholding afterwards.
