Woman arrested at airport over alleged $4.6m fraud due to banking error
A Sydney woman, who had $4.6 million mistakenly transferred into her bank account and who allegedly did not return it, has been arrested at Sydney International Airport while trying to leave the country, police say. Australian Federal Police stopped the 21-year-old woman from Rhodes about 8.25pm on Wednesday as she tried to board a flight to Malaysia.

Sydney grandmother rejects $26m offer on home
An 82-year-old woman has knocked back an estimated offer of $26 million for her home in northwestern Sydney, saying she simply doesn’t want to sell up. Ruth, a retired school teacher who did not want her surname to be disclosed, lives on a 2500 square metre block in Castle Hill, opposite the planned train station. Across the road, a consolidated block of five properties sold in late 2014 for $20.5 million. But the mother-of-six’s elusive property is proving especially attractive to developers because the site is zoned for double the density.

For $US20, a group of high school students has created 3.7 grams of an active ingredient used in the medicine Daraprim, which would sell in the United States for between $US35,000 and $US110,000. Pyrimethamine, the active ingredient in Daraprim, treats a parasitic infection in people with weak immune systems such as pregnant women and HIV patients.
